ZOOM- oil pastels + ink

Well the word of the week ZOOM can bring up lots of images from rockets taking off, little boys racing cars, and the helpful feature on the camera. Here is my simple attempt-
the girl with the magnifying glass.

Illustration friday- TREE

This weeks theme for IF was TREE.
I saw this technique in Watercolor Artist magazine.
You only use 3 colors and splatter dots of color on the watercolor paper. Then you spritz it with water and let it blend.
You finish off the trunk + branches by blending the 3 colors.
I like this idea just have to keep practicing and try different colors.
